About American Epoxy Scientific

A veteran-owned manufacturer rebuilding American epoxy-resin craftsmanship in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Our story

Preserving the craft — and the jobs

American Epoxy Scientific is a veteran-owned business located in Mountain Home, Arkansas, owned by CEO Steve Luelf. We're surrounded by some of the country's clearest lakes and rivers — an outdoor destination that's also home to a stable, dedicated labor pool.

When a long-running local epoxy-resin top company closed in 2014 and many employees lost their jobs, Steve purchased the factory in July 2015 with the intent of seeing whether it could be re-established and those jobs preserved. The plant had been stripped of all equipment, but the experienced labor force was still here. With dedicated associates and the acquisition of more up-to-date equipment, sales resumed in 2016 and have grown steadily every year since.

Today American Epoxy Scientific is a valued domestic and international supplier and a significant fabricator of chemical-resistant epoxy laboratory tops, sinks, fume hood tops and related accessories — as well as a fabricator of phenolic surfaces from several sources.

How we work

Vertically integrated, start to finish

American Epoxy Scientific is vertically integrated with our own machine shop and 5-axis CNC equipment, making molds in-house for both our own production and our customers' use — which saves time and money on every project.

Our scientific surfacing products are installed around the world in schools, universities, healthcare facilities and research labs because of their superior chemical, moisture and heat resistance. The classic non-glare, matte-finish epoxy-resin top has set the standard for lab design.

With a focus on our community and on protecting our pristine surroundings, we build lasting partnerships with customers worldwide through exemplary service and consistently high-quality products.
